We had a wonderful Easter weekend! The girls had a visit from the Easter bunny and were excited to wear their new dresses and high heel sandals, but this year they really got the true meaning of Easter. We started reading through the book of John with them a few weeks ago when they got their new big girl bibles. In God's awesome timing we came to chapters 19 and 20 on Easter weekend. We were able to read and talk about His crucifixion and rising from the grave. We have talked about it before, but it was so special to read it verse by verse with the girls. On Sunday our pastor said something that really struck me. He said that so many times we focus on the cross where Jesus died for us, but we also need to focus on the tomb that was empty....that is the victory that we have in the Lord, He is Risen!!!
