spring break

We had a wonderful Spring Break at Carolina Beach. It happened to be Ellie's spring break too, so we got to spend the week with Court and the girls! We also enjoyed spending the week with mom and dad!! The weather was beautiful and even though the water was still cold, the girls went swimming. I honestly did not even touch the water with my toes!! Dad surprised the girls with new kites. They LOVED flying them on the beach. I really enjoyed it too. I had not flown a kite since I was a little girl in Indian Princess at the YMCA. My mom surprised the girls with razor scooters. Ellie and Baylor already had them, so the four girls loved going around the lake and riding under the condo. They really liked it when my dad pretended to be the traffic cop and give them tickets for going too fast or going the wrong direction. The girls also enjoyed their slumber party at Clay and Court's house. All four girls started out on a giant air mattress and Baylor was the only one left on it when they finally fell asleep. We also had yummy pizza and watched Tangled! My favorite day was Thursday when my dad took me and the girls to Southport for the afternoon. I love to take the ferry over there and look around and shop of course. Dad took us to Provision Co. for lunch and it was so good....blackened tuna sandwich, onion rings and a coke...what could be better! After lunch we walked out on the fishing pier and this sweet lady showed the girls how to catch a fish. She literally threw out the line and in a couple of minutes pulled in a black bass! The girls got to watch the whole thing and Ava even touched it. She told the girls that women can fish just as good as men....I almost died laughing! It was such a wonderful Spring Break!!!
