we're back!

It feels so crazy to sit down and write a post for my blog! I have not done this in so long and I have missed it. As many of you know we moved a month ago and were without the Internet for two weeks. As soon as were back on line my camera card went totally blank. The experts at Wolf Camera said one of the files was corrupt....how crazy is that. I still don't have it back, I am borrowing my moms camera tonight. Since I had it I thought I would fill you in on our life over the past few weeks and share some pictures.
Our move went great and we are loving our new house. I know it sounds crazy to say but it feels like home! The girls love their new big girl beds and playing all the time on the screened in porch. The strange thing is even though it is October! this week it has been almost two hot to be outside for a long period of time. We have finished all of our renovations except the back splash in the kitchen, but that should be completed soon. The girls started their fall session of dance class and are loving it so much. They are really learning how to shake it! They are also in a bible study with me on Tuesday mornings. This year they have a lesson every week in their classroom and are learning about Genesis just like mommy. They say all the time " I'm reading Genesis". They also tell me parts of the stories they are learning...."God told Isaac to stay", "Rebekah is a mommy too, but she did not pray". It is amazing what they are learning!
Last Saturday was a great day for our family. We woke up and went to Rhyme Time at our local library. They go on Thursdays with mommy, but they had never taken Daddy before. They love to sing the songs and tell the nursery rhymes to each other! Then we met my mom and dad at a fall festival near their new house. We painted pumpkins, the girls went down an huge inflatable slide and the highlight of the day were the pony rides! They loved riding on the ponies. We are headed to the fair this Friday and are so excited about doing pony rides again there. That afternoon we headed to Coats, NC with some of our closest friends. It is our yearly tradition of going to a pumpkin patch and then eating at Ron's Barn a very yummy BBQ restaurant. The girls and their friends Emily loved picking out their very own pumpkins!
Last night wewent down to Zebulon to eat dinner with Jay's parents and for the girls and Jay to get haircuts. Ava got a cute little trim and Claire got a big girl haircut....Bonnie cut a lot of hair! The cutest thing was after her cut was done she just kept looking at her self and smiling.....she loves it and now Ava wants short hair like Claire and Mommy! Enjoy the pictures ( the one of Ava with her tongue out is her new trademark. When we say "smile" or "say cheese" she makes a funny face....however it is not very funny to mommy!) and hopefully my next entry won't be a month away!
