This past weekend we celebrated one of my favorite days of the year...Gotcha Day! It is hard to believe that six years ago we left the baby house in Kazakhstan with our sweet girls! They truly are gifts from the Lord!! Being a mom is definitely the most challenging, but rewarding job I have ever had. I love knowing the Lord knit our family together in His perfect plan and with His perfect timing! We had fun celebrating Gotcha Day this year and letting the girls chose what we did. We woke up and watched the Raleigh Christmas parade in our warm house in our pj's instead of heading downtown to watch it in person. Then we got dressed and went to Raleighwood for lunch and to watch the Smurfs movie...please note the spelling of the movie on the ticket above! It was actually a really cute movie, I was a little worried about it, but the girls were dying to see it. I enjoyed wearing my orange sweater that I got in Kazakhstan since I am the only one in the family that does not own a Carolina hoodie! That afternoon we went to the mall and did a little bit of shopping and then hit two different drive thus to get the girls exactly what they wanted for dinner. Ava chose Chic-fil-A, which was not a shocker and Claire chose Boston Market, which did catch us off guard. We hardly ever eat there, but she said she was dying for their mashed potatoes. Happy Gotcha Day Claire and Ava!!!
