I love the Fall for many reasons, one of them being our annual tradition of going to Ron's Barn. Our family and our sweet friends The Flynns head to Coats, NC for pumpkin picking and a BBQ dinner every October. Ron's Barn has the BEST BBQ and lots of wonderful sides too. It is a big buffet of goodness. We joke every year how the potatoes and green beans are a little yellow from the butter they are cooked in, so you know they are good! We stopped at our favorite pumpkin patch, where the owners know us now, to take pictures and shop for some pumpkins. After that we headed straight to eat. It was as good as always and the girls had fun coloring and talking as well as dancing on the stage in front of all the other people there eating dinner! We had a special treat this year when we met Ron of Ron's Barn! He was so nice and so funny and he did a perfect interpretation of Donald Duck which cracked the girls up! This year we also had a much different ending from years past. After we dropped the Flynns off we were in pretty bad car accident. We are all just fine, but our van "Snow White" is not. It was very scary, especially for the girls, but we are so grateful that the Lord protected us. We were sitting at a stoplight when two cars hit each other in the intersection because one of them ran a red light. They hit so hard and then they both hit us. One car hit us in the front and one hit us on the side near the back. Our driver door, where I was sitting and the girls door on the driver side where Ava was sitting did not have one scratch on it. It was also a blessing that the accident was near the Flynn's house because they were able to watch the girls for us when Jay and I had to stay at the scene of the accident. Even though the ending of the night was not planned, we still had the best time at Ron's Barn with our friends and LOVE that we have this tradition with them.

I've eaten at Ron's Barn before! Didn't realize they had pumpkins, too! Thankful for your protection from the accident. It does sound scary.
