visit to the mill

Last night after dinner we took a family trip to Rita's Italian Ice, Quail Ridge Bookstore, Lassiter Mill, and Target and my camera came along too! Rita's is a new love of our family. Have any of you tried a Gelati??? It is an Italian ice with a little bit of frozen custard in the bottom of the cup, and on top of the ice too. It is so, so good! They have lots of flavors to chose from including mango, mine and Claire's favorite! Claire and I split a mango one, and Jay and Ava shared cookies and cream flavor. I actually liked theirs better than mine. We enjoyed looking around the bookstore and Jay got a new political thriller book. The next stop on our fun night out was the Lassiter Mill. The girls love walking down on the big rocks and seeing the waterfall. Last night there were tons of little frogs hopping around and they loved catching frogs together! We ended our time at the mill looking for my initials that my high school boyfriend and I carved in one of the benches! They are not there any more because the benches are so weathered, but the girls still like to try to find them! They think it is so funny that I did that! We ran into Target on the way home and by this point the sugar from the Italian Ice had hit the girls. They were dancing all around the aisles especially once Claire found this clearance priced palm tree that plays music. She literally wants to go to Target tomorrow with her allowance and buy it! Jay is trying to talk her out of it, because it is pretty much a waste of her hard earned money. I say let her get it because she earned the money and it is going to teach her a lesson later when she wants to spend her money on something much more fun and exciting. We shall see what her final decision is. If she gets it I will dedicate a whole entire post to Claire, her dancing and her palm tree!!
