tree decorating

Every year we go to Rich and Bonnie's house on the day after Thanksgiving. This is the day that we decorate their tree. We started doing this the year Jay and I got engaged. It is way more fun now that we have the girls and they are really into it. This year they found two hats, one that belongs to Rich and one that belonged to his dad! They loved wearing them while they decorated. I love seeing all of Bonnie's ornaments each year and hearing stories behind them. I also love that she shares some with me each year. I LOVE antique ornaments and now have many that belonged to her mother and aunts. We are hoping to decorate two trees next year. One on the screened porch that has all of our childhood ornaments and the girls ornaments from the past few years. In the living room we would like to have one that will have antique ornaments on it! I have been waiting to have enough ornaments, and I am almost there!! After we helped decorate the tree Bonnie, the girls and I went to a Christmas open house at an adorable store in Zebulon. It was fun to see all of their decorations and shop around. We ended our fun day with some Smithfield's BBQ and sweet tea...what a great ending!
