So after all of our fun times at the fair my parents took the girls home and Jay and I stayed for the Third Day concert. We have both loved Third Day for a while now and actually met for the first time at one of their concerts 14 years ago!! It was such an amazing concert....a true worship service with thousands of people. They sang lots of old songs like Love Song, Black Bird, and God of Wonders as well as new ones from their Revelation CD(which I highly recommend). Some of our favorite songs by Mac Powell, the lead singer for Third Day, are on the Glory Revealed CD. This is a compilation CD that Mac headed up about two years ago. They just came out with Glory Revealed II this year. Both CD's are AWESOME! If you do not own them you have to go purchase them. They are packed with scripture right from God's word. They feature a lot of awesome singers and writers including Matt Maher, Trevor Morgan, Laura Story, Natalie Grant, Sarah Evans and more. Well, at the concert the band from Glory Revealed came out and performed one song...we were so excited. They then announced that they were going to have an after party at NRCA and it would be a Glory Revealed concert. Jay and I looked at each other and knew we were going. The girls were spending the night at my parents so we headed there at 10:00 at night like two college kids. The concert at the fair was great, but the after party was even greater. I just love corporate worship when you are truly singing songs directly to the Lord, there is nothing like it! After the concert we got to meet Mac Powell and all the other singers and musicians and we even got to tell Mac about meeting each other for the first time at one of their concerts all those years ago. It was a night I will not forget....a pretty awesome date night for sure!

Very cool, Jen!! I got to meet and pray with the band when my IV group brought them to ASU back in '98. Very down to earth and focused on reaching the lost. Loved it.
