lost at sea

Don't worry this post is about goggles not a person. Christy you will especially think this is sad because you know I can't replace them!!! Claire and Ava have been the only two children on the beach this week swimming in the ocean with their goggles on. They LOVE their goggles and they just happened to still be in the beach bag from the pool last week so they begged to wear them. Well, I thought it was funny and cute until Claire lost hers in surf today. I tried not to make a big deal about it because she was really sad and felt so bad about dropping them. She obviously did not mean to. They were my favorite goggles ever, happened to be on major sale at Kohl's and out of stock. Oh well.....it won't be a huge deal until we get back home and go to the pool for the first time with on pair of goggles! I know this sounds crazy but somehow we have four other pairs at home, but none that she loved like the lost at sea pair! We are having so much fun at the beach this week. We have had storms each day around lunch time, but the mornings and afternoons have been pretty. The girls have loved playing in the ocean this week and have made friends with our next door neighbors down here....Grace and Lucy. Today Grace taught them how to dig sand fiddlers out of the ocean when the waves are going back out. They are now obsessed and think they are the funniest looking crabs ever, which they are! We had dinner tonight with my college roomie and her family and are headed to Myrtle Beach tomorrow to see my college suite mate and play with her kids. Of course we have had Britt's donuts and snowballs and hope to have some more before we come home! We miss you daddy so much, but are loving our girl time at the beach!
