mountain time

We spent the weekend in one of our favorite places....Todd, NC. This was our third year going to the mountains as a family and it was wonderful. The scenery is beautiful and the weather was awesome. I was actually cold some of the time and of course forgot to pack any pants or jeans!!! We did some of our favorite things from the past two years and spent a lot of time just resting at the cabin. My parents were already in Todd for the week so we joined them to have some fun! We went downtown West Jefferson and played at the girls favorite park, did a little bit of shopping and of course stopped for ice cream on our way back to Todd! We also rafted down the New River, this time the girls went with us for the whole hour and a half. It was so fun and relaxing and the girls LOVED it. The neatest part of our journey down the river was that we were accompanied by a Dalmatian that we later found out was named Freckles. She swam beside our rafts the whole trip down the river. She was the sweetest dog!!! Each night before bed we played a game with the girls. One night Jay even put on his visor and sunglasses and pretended he was the dealer!!! We played lots of ping pong which we all LOVE to play. I am always scheming on where we could put one at our house! I just love going to the mountains and can not wait to get back there soon!
