ice cream and memorial day

We had such a fun and relaxing Memorial Day as a family. We spent the morning at home playing and completing our latest puzzle...the girls put our final two pieces in the right spots!! We then had a quick lunch, but we didn't want to eat too much....we were headed to the annual ice cream churn off at the Bruegggeman's house! Everyone who comes signs up to bring either homemade ice cream or toppings and boy is it yummy. This year we made Mint Oreo and it was delicious! Anything is better than our choice last year...Peppermint, it was too sweet! Stac had three pools and a slide set up in their backyard and tons of balls for the kids to play with. They all had so much fun playing together and chasing each other with buckets of water! The grownups had fun too....us girls of course talked and the boys played boccie ball as they do every year. I got pictures of the guys and the kids and not one of us ladies!!! So all the mommy's can drool over their little ones(and husbands)...here are the pictures....
