date with claire

On Monday we got to have our date with Claire. My sweet friend Christy watched Ava and this meant that Ava got to play with Emmy and Kate! Ava did great with the drop off but Claire (just like Ava) cried for about 20 min. She just kept crying over and over "I miss Ava". I found it so interesting because at home they do play with each other a lot, but they also love to play by themselves. They are so different and like different things, but as soon as we separate them they know and do not like being apart. On both dates after about 20-30 min. they are totally fine and realize that for that special time they are the only child. Claire and I picked daddy up from work and went to Five Guys for a yummy lunch. We then went to Target and Claire got to pick any toy she wanted from the 1 spot....we love the 1 spot! She picked this immitation barbie that was well let's just say cheap!!! The cute thing was as soon as she chose it she wanted to get Ava one! She also picked out a blonde one for Emmy. Today Ava handed it to me and literally the doll had one arm attached and that was it....no right arm and no legs! We were able to successfully re-attach her! It was a great experience to have the girls one on one and my favorite thing was hearing them say "I'm on a date with mommy and daddy"!
