handmade Christmas

December has been such a fun month so far! I just can't believe it is flying by so fast!! Next week we will officially have two seven year old girls in our family and then we get to celebrate the birth of our Savior! The girls have had fun at school learning about holiday traditions all around the world. They have made some of the cutest things and brought them home to share. Ava made the cutest wreath complete with a red bow! Claire made a beautiful poinsettia and they have made adorable cards and wish lists. Claire's wish list was SO cute....some of the things she is wishing for are an American Girl doll, a bell from Santa's sleigh, and to see Ellie and Baylor. Seeing this wish made my eyes water, the girls miss their cousins so much! This past weekend the girls and I made a gingerbread house. It was so fun making it together and breaking the rules a little bit! We were supposed to wait an hour after putting the four walls together and two to three hours after putting on the roof. We decided to bypass all that and just go for it. It turned out so pretty and I loved seeing the girls add such pretty details to it!
