family vacation

Last week we had a wonderful family vacation in Williamsburg, VA. We went to Water Country USA, Bush Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed all three places but as a family voted Water Country our favorite spot! We walked around Colonial Williamsburg the last day we were there and that was the only day I carried my real camera. I had my phone at the parks and got some cute pictures there that I put on FB. The girls were amazed at Colonial Williamsburg. Claire especially fell in love with how simple and quaint it is and decided she is going to live there with her husband and two sets of twins one day! She also wants to go to college at William and Mary now! The girls had lots of fun memories from our day in Colonial Willamsburg. They got to write their name with a feather dipped in ink at the bookstore, which they were able to bring home as a souvenir. They were also in play with other children about a battle that was close to happening in Williamsburg. Jay was loving the history lesson involved there! We had a delicious lunch in a tavern which was really neat for the girls. They loved seeing and petting lots of horses up and down the street. Their most favorite things was playing with toys that children played with long ago. They loved rolling the hoops hitting them with a stick to keep them going! We are definitely going to plan a trip back when the girls are a little older to learn more about the history of Williamsburg...and of course to go back to the water park too!!!
