roller skating

The girls decided they wanted to go roller skating for their birthday so off we went. Claire had been one time before at a birthday party and was dying to go again and take Ava with her this time! Jay was a trooper and laced up his skates and went out on the rink with them. We are definitely the two parents with the worst knees, but one of us had to go and he did not want me to get fluid on my knee. My knee was not hurting, but my stomach was from laughing at the three of them! I honestly will never forget watching them skate. It truly was the best $18 dollars we have spent in a LONG time! They were sweating by the time we left to go home! The girls were excited when the lights went off and the disco ball came on. The girls saw one of the closest friends from school who was there with his brothers. His mom thankfully helped them skate some when Jay needed to take a break. He was exhausted mentally because he was trying not to fall. Poor thing when the girls fell, he could hardly help them up due to falling himself. It really was the most entertaining thing to watch!! It was a fun birthday idea and we did this the day before their actual birthday. I think their "party" lasted a week for sure!
