I know it is way past the 4th of July, but I still have to write about it! It was one of the best I can remember having! We woke up at the beach and spent the day playing and eating with mom and Clay's family. I just love seeing my girls play with their cousins. I am so thankful that we are so close to Clay and Court and that we get to see them so often! The beach was beautiful that day...to quote my mom, "Everyday is different at the beach." The water was really clear and the waves were calm so the girls got the play together in the ocean. Court and I made the girls into "mermaids" in the sand and Clay and Jay went boogie boarding and of course we took tons of pictures! After playing on the beach we came in for lunch complete with watermelon and apple pie! We said bye to Jay that afternoon as he headed back home. That night mom and I took the girls to watch a movie outside at the lake. Even though Carolina Beach had their big fireworks display on the 3rd tons of people were setting them off that night. It was so cool to be watching a movie and seeing fireworks overhead! Here are a few of my favorite pics from the day.
