snow day

Today we enjoyed a fun hour in the snow and sleet! We bundled up and headed out to a pretty big hill at the end of our street. It was so much fun having four other families from our street sledding with us! We are so thankful for our awesome neighbors and their kids whom my girls just love!!! Claire and Ava, well we all four had the best time! I went down with Claire once and Ava once. Jay pushed us so hard one time we went all the way the hill and into the middle of the street at the bottom. Thankfully no cars were coming and we had someone manning the bottom at all times. I think Jay was the only adult who did not take a turn, because he was sledding with the kids the entire time! He was seeing how fast he could go and what sled was going to be the best for speed and steering....he is such a kid at heart! Claire was so cute, almost every time she came sledding down the hill she would get in the little dip between the street and the curb. She would fly down and just stay in that little dip the entire time! She of course also ate snow the entire time we were out there. Ava also had so much fun sledding with all of her friends! We are going to head back out in a little while since we have thawed out and eaten a good lunch, complete with hot chocolate of course!!!!
