Daddy has been here with us since Friday and it has been nonstop fun! Playing in the sand and the ocean, a trip to the carnival, eating snow balls and riding the ferry to Southport just to name a few. We even buried daddy in the sand! This summer there is a carnival set up near the boardwalk at Carolina Beach. There are about 10 rides and even a funnel cake stand. The girls loved the fun house, airplane ride and of course the big slide. Ava also rode a barrel ride with daddy while Claire opted to ride the slide two times! It made the girls (and me) totally ready for the fair in October! On Saturday we went back to the boardwalk and had snowballs together. New Orleans Snowballs and Britt's donuts are two of our traditions here that we "have" to partake in every trip and I have for 18 years now! They were delicious as always!! That night Jay and I went on a date downtown Wilmington to one of my favorite restaurants. It was such a nice night and we sat outside right on the water....it was beautiful and the food was so good, we got stuffed for sure! Mom has been with us this weekend so we had a very eager babysitter. We have had so much fun laughing with mom this weekend. Today we took the ferry to Southport. This is now becoming a new tradition for us. This was our third time taking it with the girls and they just love it! It is so neat for me and Jay so I can only imagine the girl's brain as they process driving our van on a boat and then getting out and walking around and watching the beautiful scenery as you float on the water. It is such a neat experience. We took a picnic lunch with us and ate down by the water at a picnic table. We then walked around a little bit and went to our favorite store there....the Christmas store. The girls love to look at all the ornaments and of course buy some candy! For dinner we drove to Myrtle Beach to visit my suite mate from Meredith and her family(pictures to come....). It was such a special time to watch our kids play together and to hold her sweet little girl for the first time! Thank you Naz so much again for having us....your home is beautiful! Jay is heading home in the morning.....we are sad and will miss him for sure. We are staying on with mom to play at the beach a little bit more!

The family picture at the top is so cute! All of your pictures are cute actually but I LOVE the hat! :)
Yay! You went to the carnival! You missed out by not going on the "Flying" whatever ride. It is fun!:-) We've also been to the park at Southport. I didn't know they had a Christmas store. I think I might be making a trip there in the future. Glad you're having fun. Wish we were there!!!
