date day

We had two awesome dates today! I took Ava on a date and Jay went out with Claire. It was so fun to spend one on one time with each of our girls. They loved it and for the first time did not cry for each other while they were gone. I know they loved being the center of attention! We let them each choose where they wanted to eat and what they wanted to do! Jay took Claire to Jason's Deli and she ate a whole bowl of broccoli cheese soup by herself...she is literally obsessed with it! She also helped Jay eat a potato and of course they had ice cream. Then they went to Books A Million and played with the train table and read books together. They ended their date by coming home and watching an old episode of Scooby Doo together on the couch...how cute! Ava and I dined at her favorite restaurant...Chic fil A! I am so over Chic, don't get me wrong, it is good, but I think I am overdosed on it! Still, that is where she wanted to eat and she was my date for the afternoon! After lunch we went to Mill Outlet and she helped me pick out ribbon for my frame business. Then we went to the mall and picked up my camera which I broke the day it snowed!! Her highlight of the date was going to the shoe store and trying on shoes. This is a favorite of her and Claire. I just sat down and let her try on as many shoes as she wanted...she was loving it for sure! Next we went in Ann Taylor Loft together and looked at clothes for mommy. She had everyone in there laughing. She picked out the prettiest outfits for me and looked through the clothes until she found my size in each item. She kept saying "try this on mommy", "here's an M"...for medium! and "does this look cute"! She is really into fashion at four years old, she picked out matching outfits better than I could have done! We ended our date by going to Baskin Robbins and enjoying some yummy ice cream. Don't you love how both of our dates had ice cream in common! We are so in love with Claire and Ava and still can't believe they are ours!!!
