Yesterday was a day that I enjoy every year....the Kids Everywhere consignment sale! The sale takes place twice a year and a lot of my friends from church and I volunteer and shop together. Yesterday was a marathon day! I left the house at 9:00 am and got in my car to come home at 9:00 pm. Christy and I volunteered from 10-2 then had a little break at Wendy's where we enjoyed some yummy fries. Then it was our turn to shop at 4:00. I wish I had my camera at the sale to show you how big our pile of clothes was before we starting organizing and sorting through them! We had two laundry baskets piled with clothes. We made good decisions and got it down to a reasonable amount of things that were super cute and practical! I was proud of myself because for the first time I chose nothing that had a matching outfit to it!!! I tried to find outfits or dresses that complimented other things....but no exact matches for the girls! I have loved dressing them alike and have a few things I had already purchased like their Easter dresses that do match, but I am being more drawn to dressing them differently now. They are getting older and they have such different personalities...I think it is time! They still like matching sometimes, but liked all the different things I got for them at the sale. One the way out Christy and I checked iout the toy end of the sale where I got both of them a treat. I got Ava two floor puzzles...one Ariel and one Snow White which she loved! We put Snow White together this afternoon. I got Claire the cutest Minnie Mouse dress. She has a very strong obsession with Minnie these days. She sleeps with three Minnie's every night and they all took a picture together today!!! It was a very exhausting but fun day! As we always say Christy..." I could not do the sale without you"!
