this week

The blogging bug has not bitten me all week long! Usually I am so excited to sit down and blog....but the past couple of weeks have been so busy! I am finally catching up today since it is Saturday and we are still in our pajamas at 10:30! The week started out last Sunday with a wonderful morning at church, a fun lunch with friends, quality time with the Windleys and an awesome Superbowl Party at one of our friend's houses from church. That afternoon Court and I took the kids to the park because it was so pretty out. They had fun riding bikes, playing in the sand and playing on the playground. They are all so tall now that they can do so much on their own! The party was so fun ....tons of food and just as many laughs. I got to have some good girl talk with friends and Claire and Ava had so much fun playing with Madeline and tons of boys! They love those Shield's boys. We also had fun with arts and crafts this week. The girls made Valentine "mailboxes" out of shoe boxes for their school party on Wednesday and we finished making Valentines for all their classmates. We also opened one of their Christmas presents from Aunt Nan. It is an awesome roll of Disney Princess pictures that you hang over a door. They can just roll each picture down and color it all by themselves then cut it off and start on the next one. There are tons of pictures on the roll and they love it! I will ask her where she got it if anyone is interested. The last picture I took this week was from one of the girls many play times in the playroom. When I walked in to check on them I found their highchairs overflowing with Pooh and beanie babies! They are obsessed with barbies, but beanie babies come in at a close second. I have found they are not only great for playing but for teaching too. They can group them by color..all the red ones, animal...all the dogs, and they can count them as they clean them up. We have had so much fun this week and know next week will be even more fun with Valentines coming up...Love is in the air!
