This has been a trying week...all the girls in our family have been sick! Jay is still in the clear for now...only kisses on the cheek for him! The girls have had fevers and bad coughs and I have had a sore throat and shared the cough that they have. We have all still had energy, so I have tried to think of many fun things to do in the midst of washing our hands a thousand times! On Wednesday we made our third annual Valentines cake. (The picture below is from the first time we baked our festive cake at our old house...They were 2 years old!) This year the girls were really into it. They got to combine all the ingredients...they even cracked the eggs! They stirred it all up, but I still did the electric mixer, it is a little too loud for them! There was an exciting first this year....I decided to let them put the icing on after it had cooled. They did a great job, a little messy, but it was still very yummy! They are definitely the two cutest chefs I know!
