Tonight we had another pre-birthday celebration for the girls! Jay and I decided this year for their birthday we would take them to build a bear. We had never taken them before and we knew they would love it! So we piled in the van with my parents and a wheel chair for Jay and headed to Crabtree. We had the best dinner at PF Changs....I had called earlier in the week to make a wheelchair accessible reservation...how funny! Dinner was sooooo good! At the end of dinner our waiter brought out our fortune cookies and said he had found something special....two fortune cookies together in the same package...just for my twins! It was so thoughtful of him and so funny to us! After dinner we wheeled Jay down to build a bear. The girls looked at all the animal choices carefully many times over and decided on a bunny named Emily for Ava and a doggie named Fina for Claire. They are both really cute. They got to help stuff them by putting their foot on the peddle...they held their ears the entire time because they thought it was a little too loud. Next we fluffed them and brushed their hair. Then it was on to the important things like finding a dress and shoes! Claire chose a wedding dress complete with a veil and pink "glass" slippers. Ava chose a bright pink fancy dress with a purse and headband and gold and silver sandals. Us adults could not believe how excited they were to pick everything out. It was such a fun birthday gift to watch them create their own special animals! The funniest thing we saw was a wheel chair made for the animals...of course the girls wanted to get it so badly, but we only need one wheel chair at a time in our house!
