happy thanksgiving

Today was such a wonderful day. Ava summed it up perfectly when she told me this afternoon..."Isn't this a great Thanksgiving"! How precious and true! The four of us went to my parents house to celebrate today. Clay's family was there and we had so much fun playing and eating all day. Mom made the best lunch...turkey, dressing and all the sides! My only contributions were corn pudding and a chocolate chess pie. The girls got to see Ellie and Baylor for the first time in a couple of months and they had a great time playing. Our tradition that we started last year and carried on into this year is taking a hike at Falls Lake after lunch. The weather was beautiful and the girls loved hiking and playing at the playground. They also got to search for myca all the way up the "cowgirl trail". I love to celebrate Thanksgiving because I love my family so much and am so thankful for all of them! We get to spend tomorrow with Jay's parents so it's off to Zebulon in the morning!
