the fair

We finally made it to the fair yesterday and it was worth the wait! The weather was beautiful and we stayed all afternoon! The girls went on lots of rides and ate lots of sweets! Ava had been talking about eating a candy apple for a whole year now! Claire ate one this year for the first time and was so cute while she ate it. She turned to Ava and said "Ava, you're right, this is good"! She also had the funniest quote after riding the swings with daddy. When she came through the exit gate she looked right at me and said "That's definitely not for me". She is my dare devil, but some rides were a little too high and fast, even for her. The girls also got to do the pony ride which they really enjoyed. They started out with daddy and granddaddy's help, but then rode them all by themselves! Some other highlights were holding the chicks and ducks, picking fruit at the Farm Bureau exhibit, watching the poodle show (for the girls, not us adults), and riding the bumper boats! We can't wait to go again next year!
