beach trip with daddy

I can't believe I have not blogged all week! We have had a fun but busy week. Last week we took a trip down to Carolina Beach and this time daddy went with us, the girls loved having him there!!! We did a lot of fun things but here are the highlights. On Friday Jay and I took the girls on the ferry from Ft. Fisher to Southport. We had not done that since last summer and they loved it even more this time. It was so beautiful, just sitting up on top of the ferry and looking at all the awesome scenery that God created for us! When we got to Southport we walked around, went in some shops and had lunch. Then we went back across and went to the aquarium. Even though the girls have been there so many times, they still love it. Our timing was perfect for feeding time in the huge tank. Two divers went in and told all of the kids about the different kinds of fish and sharks that live in the tank, they love watching the divers. We went swimming in the ocean two of the days. On Saturday the ocean was so calm so we went out past where the waves were breaking and had the best time splashing around. Saturday was also the day that Clay, Court and the girls came to play...so all 8 of us went in the ocean together. Claire, Ava and Ellie had on their swim rings and they "swam" over the waves "all by themselves"! We of course went to our favorite restaurant Michael's Seafood and the girls had seafood chowder or "crab soup" as they call it. We really had awesome family time together!
****One side note about my pictures...when I got to the beach I realized I had left my camera card at home in the computer. That was terribly tramatic for me, the one who easily takes 100 pictures every time we go to the beach. I love to take pictures! Thankfully my camera allows you to store 10 in the camera without having the card. Here the best of the best!
