mommy's tee ball team

We had our first offical tee ball game this afternoon at the Joyner house. Daddy set up the tee and the bases and gave the girls a quick lesson....mainly how to hold the bat, which way to run and to try to hit the ball and not the whole tee, which did not go over to well! Claire is wearing her helmet in the picture because she hit the ball one time and then decided she would much rather ride her scooter...but would come back and bat every now and then. Ava loved game so much. If Jay and I had to say right now who is going to be the athlete in our family...it is definitely Ava. Claire is an "indoor girl" as she told my dad this weekend. As soon as Ava hit the ball she would run around those bases so fast! I had to really run after her to keep up...not the fake slow mommy and daddy running that we normally do! It was another beautiful day and an awesome time with my family!
