Last weekend we took our first family trip to the mountains. We traveled to Todd, NC with my parents and had the best time as a family. I honestly did not want to leave! The leaves on the trees were absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect! It was really warm during the day and cool in the morning and at night. On Sunday morning when we woke up we saw our first frost of the year! Finally it seemed like Fall. The hightlight of the trip for me was the hike we took as a family. We stopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and took at 30 minute hike down the mountain to a waterfall at Jeffress Park. It was so neat to be walking with all the trees surrounding you. My other favorite thing was the scenery all around the house that we stayed in. It is litterally surrounded by Christmas tree farms. It was so awesome to stand in one place and look all around you and know that God made it all!
