beach week

We got back from a wonderful week at the beach Sunday night and Monday it was back to reality! It is hard to leave the beach when you are having so much fun! I went down with mom and the girls on Tuesday and we had the best time together....they love their Su Su! We got to see Court, Ellie and Baylor and play on the beach a lot. Being on the beach this summer was so different from last year. Claire and Ava wanted to go in the ocean and ride the waves especially with Daddy when he joined us on Friday. Claire and Ava would both call the waves "biggies" because Jay would say here comes a big one. It was so funny! My dad bought the girls a little pool to take out on the beach and that was a huge hit. We filled it with ocean water everyday and they loved playing in it with their toy sharks! The girls also loved watching all of the pelicans fly over and dive into the water to catch their dinner. Over the weekend when Jay was down we got to see Clay and Court and their girls again. We played on the beach and went out to dinner. Even though we were all stuffed after dinner we headed to the pavilion to get a snowball. It is the best snow cone ever because it is shaved ice piled high with whatever flavor you chose. The girls had many of them while we were there but even at the end of our week they still called it ice cream. They also had the number one Carolina Beach request.... a doughnut from Brit's Doughnuts. It was their first time eating one and they loved it...Claire more than Ava. We got pictures of all of these precious memories but I can only post so many. I counted today and I took 216 pictures in less than a week! I love taking pictures of my family and remembering how much fun we have together.
